Medical Elective Fund
One of the highlights for medical students during their undergraduate and clinical years is a medically orientated vacation project or official elective period.
This Fund was instigated to supply financial help for students planning these projects usually, but not exclusively, away from Cambridge. It was established in 2009 and multiple donations were received from Medical Alumni after an appeal. The capital in the Fund stands at approximately £75,000 and our aim to raise this to provide income for years to come. Donations would be gratefully received.
The Fund is administered by Dr Robert Whitaker, Dr Charlotte Woodford and the Senior Tutor. Successful applicants are obliged to submit a report of their experiences and be prepared to address the Selwyn College Medical and Veterinary Society.
May I take this opportunity to personally thank all those generous donors who have made possible such adventures that are recorded below.
Bob Whitaker
